Customized extended programs in Marine Biology are available for kids and teens in 3rd-12th grade. The full extended Marine program includes 15 hours of interactive activities and can be booked as a stand alone week-long summer camp or as shorter segments spread over a period of time. Activities to choose from include: Intertidal zones, Coral reef biology, symbiosis, bioluminescent fish, simulated Jellyfish, and microscopic analysis of collected specimens. Field trips to local beaches and Aquariums can also be incorporated into the mix!
Chemistry
Due to popular demand we have added customized extended programs in fun, hand-on chemistry! Just as with the Marine and Forensic Science programs, the full extended Chemistry program includes 15 hours of interactive activities and can be booked as a stand alone week-long experience or as shorter segments spread over a period of time. This program is sure to spark an interest in chemistry through engaging activities including opportunities to create your own lava lamp  and bouncy ball, make ice cream, and study solid and liquid states with oobleck! This program coincides beautifully with the NYS library themes for summer 2014 "Fizz Boom Read" and "Spark a Reaction"!
Forensic Science
Give your students the opportunity to learn authentic techniques used by detective, criminologists and other Law enforcement professionals. Our extended Forensic Science program is popularly known as Jr Crime investigators and is customized to teach kids and teens how to investigate and solve crimes. Activities include Fingerprinting, handwriting analysis, ink analysis, crime scene processing, and interrogation techniques. All extended JCI programs culminate in the presentation of an authentic age appropriate mock crime scene for the students to solve! For more information on full length forensic science programs please visit our Jr. Crime Investigators Inc website at www.jrcrimeinvestigators.com
